Mario at Grenzhof-Dormagen Christmas Tree Farm

After waking to shoes full of goodies on Saint Nicholas' Day, we took a drive to Grenzhof-Dormagen Tree Farm, a good old-fashioned Christmas Tree Farm located next to the Rhein River. For several years we have been chopping down our own Christmas Tree and were determined (even in Germany) to keep up this holiday tradition, in spite of the fact that communication proved to be a bit difficult at times between the native German-Speaking-Farmer and our English, American-Speak. My husband was our lumberjack (if only for the day) and Mario thoroughly enjoyed running through the Christmas Tree-Farm and choosing our family Christmas Tree. Although Mario thought the little trees were cute, he was determined to find us the biggest tree on the lot. Thanks to Mario's direction we once again ended up with the perfect Christmas Tree this year!
