I did not publish blog posts last week because we were on our Summer Holiday at Gran Canaria, the most populated island of the Canary Islands, in the Atlantic Ocean between the coast of Africa and Europe. I must admit, something I really love about living in Europe is the 6 weeks vacation and the fact that most people actually take a two or three week holiday in the summer time! I can get used to this! We stayed at the Seaside Grand Hotel Residencia in the heart of the palm oasis of Maspalomas. It is a luxury hotel, and we all felt more than a little spoiled since the moment we arrived on the island - we were picked up at the airport in a limo. Mario had a shriek of excitement when he got into the "big car", as he called it. We then arrived to a true oasis, and first things first we hit the pool. Here are some photos of Mario's first day in Gran Canaria... doesn't it look amazing? It truly was an unforgettable vacation - now back to reality...
