Mario's Easter Funday: Family Fun at Roaring Camp Railroads
Yesterday was Easter Sunday, and I thought I’d share some photos of my family celebrating the day. To say the least, I’m exhausted. We got home just before 9 PM after a full day of activities. Like most of you, we woke up to goodies from the Easter Bunny (who, in my son's words, is "Easter Funny"). After indulging in the frosting of Mission Minis cupcakes, we headed to Roaring Camp Railroads in Felton, CA.
In addition to the incredible 1880s steam trains, they hosted an Eggstraordinary Easter Egg Hunt, gold panning, face painting, an Easter Craft Corner, egg toss, bounce house, Box Car Theatre, live music, and a delicious BBQ! We enjoyed burgers and fries, then spent time chasing cats around the grounds before boarding the Beach Steam Train to Santa Cruz. The hour-long ride through majestic Redwoods, over Indian Creek Trestle, and through the Santa Cruz Mountains was breathtaking.
Once in Santa Cruz, we had ice cream on the boardwalk and played on the beach, kicking and throwing sand. Later, we returned to Roaring Camp Railroads, where Mario had fun chasing ducks and throwing rocks.
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter, and that you enjoy the photos of my son Mario from his Easter Funday!
