Stylish Sunglasses for Kids That Protect Their Eyes
After a very rainy Saturday in SF, the sun came out bright on Sunday—only for it to rain cats and dogs again today. The rain is much needed, so I won’t complain; it’s a great excuse to stay cozy inside. Still, on Sunday, I started thinking about sunglasses for spring and summer. I have my eyes on the Prada 'Baroque' pair.
But more important than me wanting (not needing!) another pair of expensive sunglasses, I’ve been looking for sunglasses for my son Mario. An article on the Iris Blog highlights the importance of sunglasses for children. It explains that children’s eyes are more sensitive to damaging UV radiation than adults’ eyes. Larger pupils and clearer components in children’s eyes allow more light to pass through, increasing the risk of damage.
With spring here, there’s no shortage of adorable options for kids. I especially love fun sunglasses in bright colors, playful prints, and unique shapes. Mini-me classics like Ray-Ban Wayfarers are also a favorite. Whatever your little one’s style, find a pair they’ll love and want to wear—because protecting their eyes is important!
