All-White Lace Dresses: A Must-Have Spring and Easter Trend for Girls

Easter may be late this year, but I’m already wondering: What cute T-shirt will Mario wear to the Golden Gate Park Spring Eggstravaganza hunt? While searching for Mario's Easter T-shirt, I stumbled upon so many beautiful dresses—if I had a daughter, I’d be in big trouble!

I’ll share my favorite Easter T-shirts for little ones as the holiday gets closer, but right now, I want to talk about spring dress trends. There are several I’m absolutely swooning over! Each week until Easter, I’ll feature a post dedicated to dresses, giving you plenty of time to find the perfect Easter or spring dress for your little one.

Lace is always a must-have trend for spring, but this year, it completely took over the runways. From graphic patterns and fine filigree to all-white, pastels, jewel tones, and mixed mesh or web overlays, lace is everywhere. For Spring 2014, its presence reached new heights on runways like Balmain, J. Mendel, Elie Saab, Erdem, Valentino, Jill Stuart, Stella McCartney, Chloé, and Isabel Marant.

My favorite lace trend? All-white lace, especially in dresses. The combination of white and lace embraces femininity beautifully. While I’m still figuring out which graphic T-shirt Mario will rock this Easter, I know I’ll be wearing an all-white lace dress.
