Birkenstocks Are Back: Comfortable, Stylish, Unisex, and Perfect for Mini Me Trend
I have to admit… I love Birkenstocks! I loved them in high school, and I'm happy to say they're back—reinvented to be hip, not hippy! The iconic sandal has evolved from granola to glam. Birkenstock is no longer just a brand name but a style of its own. The hippest designers—Givenchy, Giambattista Valli, Lanvin, Isabel Marant, and Céline—have all created their own versions for spring. Céline's fur-lined Birkenstock was last spring's most-talked-about shoe.
Birkenstocks are the most comfortable sandals in the world, with their squishy cork footbed, roomy toe box, and thick buckled straps. In a previous post, I talked about the importance of barefoot-like shoes for children because of their still-growing feet. The contours of a Birkenstock mirror the natural shape of the foot, promoting proper growth—yet another reason to love Birkenstocks for your little one! I've been living in mine since last summer, and now it's time to buy a pair for Mario. Below are some of my favorites!

This Birkenstock Gizeh Kids Toe Post Sandals Black Pink are my favorite Birkenstocks for girls. I Love the Black upper with the pop of Pink at the toe post and at the sole- they are just girly enough while still being very cool! Pop colored soles were a trend in sandals last summer, and will continue to be a trend into this summer as well.
