Mario’s Thanksgiving: Baking, Family, and Fun
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving spent with loved ones, just like we did. Mario helped me bake Apple Crisp Stuffed Baked Apples using a delicious recipe from lecremedelacrumb.com. Mario loves helping in the kitchen—he counts, measures, stirs, and tastes. I also love that he’s learning about real food-based nutrition. Baking together reminds me of my own childhood, baking with my grandma. I have such fond memories of those times, and I cherish creating new ones with Mario.
After baking, our family went to a friend’s home for Thanksgiving dinner. They have two sons, and there was another couple there with two kids as well. The food was all made from scratch and delicious. Our Thanksgiving was perfect—Mario had a blast running and playing with the other kids, while my husband and I enjoyed adult conversations and a homemade meal.
I truly enjoyed the long weekend spent with Mario, my husband, and friends. It was so wonderful, in fact, that I’m taking the rest of the week off from the blog to spend more time with my husband, who has the week off. Enjoy the photos of Mario’s Thanksgiving, and have a fabulous week.
