I hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day spent with your family and friends - we did! Mario spent the morning helping me bake Apple Crisp Stuffed Baked Apples - I found a delicious recipe at lecremedelacrumb.com. Mario loves to help me bake and enjoys counting, measuring, stiring, tasting, and learning about real food-based nutrition. I love when he bakes with me too, because it reminds me of baking in the kitchen with my grandma. I have fond memories with her and I love re-creating new memories with Mario in the kitchen.
After Mario and I finished baking, our family went to a friends home for Thanksgiving Dinner. Our friends have two sons and they had another couple there who had two kids as well. The food was all made from scratch and was delicious to say the least. Our Thanksgiving Day was perfect; Mario had fun running after and playing with the other kids and my husband and I had a nice time having adult conversations and eating a home made meal.
I enjoyed the long weekend spent with Mario, my husband and friends. In fact, I enjoyed it so much I am taking the rest of the week off from writing this blog to spend with my husband - who has this week off. Enjoy the photos of Mario's Thanksgiving, and have a fabulous week.
