Tea Collection FW14 "Alpine Attitude & Cozy Kinder": Ethical Kids Fashion
I love Tea Collection for Mario because their clothes are designed to last, blending a fun, exuberant mix of colors and patterns that both of us love. On top of that, Tea Collection is ethical in their sourcing practices and partners with the Global Fund for Children, an organization dedicated to advancing the dignity of children and youth worldwide, which I find both inspiring and important.
Tea Collection brings worldwide cultures and modern design to children’s fashion. They travel the globe twice a year to explore and discover new influences, using these experiences to create original designs that capture the spirit of their adventures abroad.
For Fall-Winter 2014, Tea Collection traveled to Germany, drawing inspiration from the primary colors and geometric shapes of the Bauhaus school of design. They embraced the avant-garde German Expressionist movement, which reshaped architecture, painting, literature, theater, dance, film, and music in the early 20th century. From the modern style on the Alpine ski slopes to the fairytale romance of the Schwarzwald (Black Forest), Germany influenced Tea Collection’s “Alpine Attitude & Cozy Kinder” Collection.
My favorite items from the collection are
for girls | 1. Skate Dress | 2. Tulle Skirt | 3. Ski Dress | 4. Aprés-Ski Pants
for boys | 1. Graphic Tee | 2. Zip Cardigan | 3. Popover | 4. Slim Side Stripe Sweat Pants
for babies | 1. Romper | 2. Hooded Romper | 3. Sweater Romper | 4. Striped Romper
