An autumn heat wave is roasting California, high temperatures were ranging from the low 100s in Southern California to the 90s in the San Francisco Bay Area this weekend. Needless to say, we planned our weekend around ways to Stay Cool in the City.
On Saturday we took Mario to the Mission Community Pool, a 4,565 square foot Pool that is the only City-operated outdoor pool in San Francisco. Mario had a blast swimming and splashing in the pool, and we all cooled off while laughing as well. To treat him for his first full week of Pre-School, we walked to Starbelly afterwards for some yummy pizza and I had a much needed flight of rose wines. On Sunday we went to Mario's classmate, Calvin's, Birthday Party at Ocean Beach, a 3.5-mile stretch of white beach on the westernmost border of San Francisco. Mario and Calvin are always playing with one another in Pre-School, so we were happy to Celebrate Calvin's 4th Birthday with him and meet his adorable family.
Yes, we are hot, hot, hot here in San Francisco, but Mario Stayed Cool in the City this weekend and we had a blast meeting new friends, laughing together and of course splashing in the water.
