Tomorrow is Halloween and Mario's school had their Halloween party this past weekend. I love all holidays, but I especially love Halloween. We all love getting dressed up and Halloween is the funnest because it is a day all about the costume... and, of course, the candy too (the candy is Mario's favorite part). I also love Halloween because I love the fall season, carving pumpkins, witches, spiders, goblins, ghosts and things that are a little spooky and scary.
As long as Mario will partake in my costume craziness, I like our family to dress up in a theme. Last year we all dressed up like characters from the Lego Movie; Mario was the cutest Emmet, my husband was Lego Batman and I was Wildstyle. This year Mario wanted to be something scary - his request was to be a Scary Black Ghost. Instead of us dressing up as a ghost family, I thought it would be fun for my husband to dress as Scooby Doo and for me to dress as Daphne. We were the Scooby Gang and Mario, the Scary Black Ghost, had fun chasing us. Mario's mantra for the day was "I'm gonna get you Scooby Doo!" and mine was "And I would have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for you meddling kids!". Needless to say, we had a blast and I cannot wait to get dressed up again and to go trick-or-treating tomorrow night. Enjoy & Happy HaLLoWeeN!
