Mario & My Favorite Holiday is Halloween - of Course!
Mario and I love all holidays, but Halloween is our most favorite! Our family loves dressing up, and Halloween’s the ultimate day for costumes and, of course, candy - Mario's favorite part. What I love most is our family's themed costumes. Each year, Mario picks his character based on his current obsession. Mario's celebrated ghoulishly great Halloweens in San Francisco, Düsseldorf, Brooklyn, and Beacon. But what we love most is spending the holiday together - did I mention the candy?
Have a Haunted Halloween!
Wishing everyone a safe and happy HaLLoWeeN this year! Time's flying, and our costumes are getting a second life - Mario's now tall enough to wear his dad's Joker costume! So, my husband and I are resurrecting our Batman and Harley Quinn outfits too. A previous Halloween, we also reanimated our Ghostbuster costumes. Mario's been consistent with his themes over the years, always gravitating towards villains - though he's the kindest, most empathetic kid you could ever meet!
You know I love repurposing what I can, costumes included. So this year, let's all aim to be as sustainably spooky as possible!
