Our family spent Mario’s fall break exploring parts of the East Coast of the US; Mario was especially thrilled to be visiting the country he was born in. Our first stop was Philadelphia: we had a blast exploring the City of Brotherly Love. We stayed at a hotel on Penn’s Landing, a stretch of parks and restaurants along the Delaware River, which is walking distance to Philadelphia’s Old City - the neighborhood of Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell and the Betsy Ross House. We also visited the Adventure Aquarium which is just minutes from downtown Philadelphia on the Camden Waterfront. Mario loved the blue lobster, sea horses, jelly fish and great hammerhead shark at the Aquarium. Our family had an amazing time in Philly and hope to visit again next time we are in the United States. In fact, Mario has already requested a return trip back to the country he was born in. Although, I have to admit that I think Mario’s favorite part of our American trip was seeing movies in the movie theater in English (we saw Goosebumps 2 & Smallfoot) and he also loved the toy aisle in Target (we went to Target more times than I can honestly count while we were in States).
