Mario Celebrates International Day at His School
Mario attends an International School in Germany with kids from over 50 Nations where he is learning to be a world citizen. At a time when I am so sad to see division and hate in our home country, I am also proud to be an American because I know America, like Mario's school, is home to citizens of the world who love one another! America is truly a great country and like Mario's Prefresh t-shirt says "U.S.A." is "Often Imitated Never Duplicated". This Spring Mario's school had International Day - my favorite celebration at his school. We learned about and celebrated all Nations, ate delicious international foods, had fun playing toss games and Mario ran around playing with his friends and discovering international candies (which included eating PoP Rocks for his first time).
“No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.”
