Here are more photos of our family vacation to Mykonos, Greece, last July. While there, in addition to relaxing on the beach every day, we also took the bus into Mykonos Town (also known as Chora) to have amazing meals, wander around, while thoroughly enjoying getting lost and finding unexpected treasures. The street layout of Mykonos' Town was intentionally built to confuse pirates, which promptly caused Mario to rename Mykonos Town "the pirate streets" and he loved exploring the town pretending he was a pirate; needless to say, we said: "Ahoy Matey," more times than I can count. Besides the endless small streets, Mykonos Town also has charming shops, windmills, churches, terraces and whitewashed houses. All the houses in Mykonos are painted white and have brightly colored shutters on the windows, mostly blue, green or red. We absolutely loved Mykonos, and re-looking at these photos reminds me why we loved it so much... oh, how I miss the sunshine.
