Mario attends an International School in Germany with kids from over 50 Nations - I am proud my son is learning to be a world citizen. At a time when our home country is so divided, I am also proud to be an American because I know America, like Mario's school, is home to citizens of the world: we are all immigrants! When you break down the walls and build bridges, you find you have more in common with people than you would have ever imagined. Mario's school had International Day last spring, where we learned about and celebrated all Nations, and although it was drizzling rain most of the day, Mario had a blast jumping in bouncy houses, eating international foods, playing an Angry Birds toss game and dancing in the rain in his USA sweatshirt.
