Favorite Trend: Kimonos – The Ultimate Summer to Fall Transitional Piece
I love the versatility of kimonos, and I own two that I've been wearing a lot this summer. One is a playful layer I throw over tank tops and ripped denim shorts for everyday wear, while the other is dressier—perfect over a slip dress or romper for date nights with my husband.
Once a festival-only trend, printed, maxi, or cropped kimonos have quickly become a summer staple. This lightweight piece is now replacing the basic cardigan as the go-to layering option.
When I came across these adorable and stylish girls' kimonos, I couldn't wait to share them with you. Kimonos are a mini-me trend, and as you know, I love that! All of these kimonos (see below) easily transition from summer to fall, layered over a long-sleeved T-shirt or turtleneck, and paired with booties and leggings. I’m definitely keeping mine in rotation for fall—I’m not ready to pack them away just yet.
Some of my favorite layering options for girls are; Tucker + Tate Camisole, GAP Ribbed Tank, Peek Rib Tank Top, Tea Collection Tee, Peek Long Sleeve Tee, PETIT BATEAU Roll Neck, and Cyrillus Turtleneck.
