How to Style Your Little One for Fall: Easy Summer to Fall Transitions
Living in San Francisco has made me an expert at layering. With the city's microclimates, the weather can vary by as much as 9°F (5°C) from block to block, thanks to the varied topography and marine layer influence. When it comes to transitioning a wardrobe from summer to fall, I've got it down to a science—and it's how I dress Mario every day.
So, don’t pack away your son’s statement graphic T-Shirts just yet. Layer a trendy plaid shirt over them and pair with patched jeans and chukka boots. For your daughter, sleeveless shirts don’t need to be put away either, especially if they’re plaid. Layer a cute cardigan over them and wear with patched jeans and moccasins. I personally love throwing on a pom-pom hat to keep my little one’s head warm. While it's a myth that we lose most of our heat through our heads, pom-pom hats are trending and look adorable on little ones.
I must admit, I'm getting excited to talk about (and wear) fall trends, especially plaid, patched jeans, sweaters, pom-pom hats, moccasins, and boots. Enjoy my round-up and see how your little one’s favorite summer styles can transition into their fall wardrobes!
