Mario's Weekend Neighborhood Adventures in San Francisco
Mario was exhausted this past weekend after a long first week of preschool. He hasn't napped for months, but on Saturday, when we took a walk to Mission Dolores Park, he fell asleep in his stroller. My husband and I decided to take a long walk and stop for a light brunch to let him rest—we knew he needed it.
On Sunday, we had brunch in our neighborhood, then went shopping for a big boy bed for Mario. He was hilarious trying out the beds at the furniture store—at one point, I thought he might fall asleep in a few of them. No nap yesterday, though—he was a bit fussy and kept wanting to get in and out of his stroller every other block. He couldn't decide if he wanted to walk or be strolled (I think he wanted to walk to stay awake, but he’d get too tired and go back in the stroller). Mario was happiest when we stopped at a construction site in SoMa. He and his Dada excitedly pointed at all the trucks and tractors.
