Matching Separates Trend for Summer: Fashion Forward and Fun for Little Girls
This summer, fashionistas are pairing Matching Separates to create my favorite trend of the season. These chic, cohesive looks were featured on the Spring/Summer 2014 runways of Giambattista Valli, Alexander McQueen, John Galliano, Kenzo, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, Lyn Devon, Nicole Miller, Christian Siriano, and Misha Nonoo. I especially love the Matching Separates trend when it includes a crop top and high-waisted bottoms, which break up the look while still allowing you to wear a print from head to toe.
I’m obsessed with Matching Separates because they’re both on-trend and flattering, with just the right amount of femininity. This makes them the perfect choice for little girls. When I saw this trend begin to appear in children's wear this summer, I couldn’t wait to share it. You’ll definitely see more Matching Separates for girls in stores this season, but for now, check out my favorites for little ones.
For the women, here are some of my top picks:
JOA Jamie's Long Sleeve Top and Jamie's Floral Detailed Skirt
Clover Canyon Garden Plaid Crop Tank and Floral Disks Neoprene Skirt
PIAMITA Elisa Printed Cropped Silk Blouse and Brigitte Printed Silk-Satin Pants
I wish I had worn Matching Separates to the wedding we attended this past weekend, but I’m sure I’ll find another occasion to rock the look!
