This summer, fashionistas are pairing Matching Separates together, creating my favorite trend of the season. Matching Separates are gorgeously cohesive and chic; they were on the Spring/Summer 2014 runways of Giambattuista Valli, Alexander McQueen, John Galliano, Kenzo, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, Lyn Devon, Nicole Miller, Christian Siriano and Misha Nonoo. My favorite Matching Separates show a little skin with a crop top and high-waisted bottoms to break up the look, proving you can wear a print from head-to-toe.
I'm obsessed with the Matching Separates look because it is equal parts on-trend, while still being girly and flattering; thus making Matching Separates, perfect for little girls. I was rather excited when this trend started to appear in children's wear this summer. I am sure you will be seeing more Matching Separates for girls in stores in the seasons to come, but for now see below for my favorites for little ones and here are my favorite Matching Separates for women; Necessary Clothing Kyoto Floral Top and Skirt, Asos Fashion Union Cutwork Boxy Top and Midi Skirt, JOA Jamie's Long Sleeve Top and Jamie's Floral Detailed Skirt, Clover Canyon Garden Plaid Crop Tank and Floral Disks Neoprene Skirt, PIAMITA Elisa Printed Cropped Silk Blouse and Brigitte Printed Silk-Satin Pants.
I wish I would have worn matching separates to the wedding we attended this past weekend, but I'm sure I'll find another excuse to get Matching Separates :-)
