Mario Loves Fairs! A couple of weeks ago, we took him to the Alameda County Fair and had a blast with him so we decided to take him to the Sonoma County Fair this weekend.
At the Sonoma County Fair, Mario loved seeing the livestock, especially the goats and the cows, and loved the Kiddie Carnival- a separate kiddie carnival area for the little ones with scaled down rides, thrills and lots of excitement--he and I went on the kiddie pirate ship twice and a car ride that went, "boing," when it dropped every few feet.
Although I felt a little dizzy, I had a lot of fun with Mario because he was laughing with such joy the entire time (I really am not much of a carnival ride-person and neither is my husband, who says he doesn't fit in the kiddie rides, but I think it's his excuse to make me go on them with Mario).
Mario loved the Kiddie Carnival so much it was hard to get him to leave it. He was quickly distracted, however, by the Hall of Flowers- a Home-Town favorite and a must see for all! Professional Landscapers, Landscape Designers, Amateur Gardeners and Young Floral Enthusiasts transform the hall into a floral wonderland with a central theme- this years' theme was "Flower Power". It is quite impressive; my favorite garden was based on the Beatles "Yellow Submarine".
