Mario's 1st World Cup Final: Family and Fun Soccer Moments
Our family anxiously watched Germany vs. Argentina in the World Cup Final yesterday. We were cheering for Argentina, and though they lost to Germany 1-0 in extra time, it was an exciting match, and Mario had a blast watching it. He wore an Argentina Home Mini Kit , just like his dada, who wore the same jersey, and was thrilled to be part of the World Cup excitement.
During the match, Mario colored in his 2014 FIFA World Cup™ coloring book, which I made for him using images from morningkids.net. He placed his handmade Isabella rag doll, crafted by Las Sandalias de Ana, on the couch to watch the match. Meanwhile, he kicked his soccer balls around the house, including his NIKE Fade Soccer Ball. Thankfully, Mario didn’t break anything, although I did have quite a mess to clean up after he went to bed last night.
Congrats to the German National Team and their fans! They were strong and precise throughout the tournament and scored a fantastic goal yesterday. Argentina played well too, perhaps even better, but didn’t capitalize on their chances, whereas Germany did. Our family looks forward to cheering for Argentina again in 4 years at the next World Cup in Russia—Go Messi!
