Mario's Weekend Adventures: Soccer, Parks, and Family Fun in SF
Every day is a Funday with my son Mario, but I especially love the weekends when I get to spend time with my boys. As the saying goes, "A Sunday well spent brings a week of content!"
On Saturday morning, we watched the Barcelona vs. Atletico Madrid La Liga Championship match. Like the over 90,000 Barcelona fans in the stadium, my husband was disappointed by the loss of his favorite team (but there’s always next year!). After the match, we all took a nap, then headed to Dolores Park in SF’s Mission-Dolores District for some much-needed sliding and running time.
Sunday was similar, minus the soccer match. We started the day with brunch at one of our favorite spots in the city, then spent time at another park. We ended the weekend with Mario exhausted and asleep early (before 6 P.M., which is a rarity), while I had a glass of wine and watched Game of Thrones.
