Denim Shirts have become a must have wardrobe staple for both modern girls and boys alike (yay! another unisex trend and as you all know, I love unisex trends). The Denim Shirt trend is a versatile and timeless trend, and from season to season, year to year, has not lost its relevance. Instead, the denim shirt gets slight updates which combine materials or plays with its silhouettes. For spring, designers BLK DNM, Jen Kao, Rachel Comey, Rebecca Taylor, Trina Turk, all showed new versions of the Denim Shirt. I personally still love a classic Denim Shirt as it pairs well with everything from a skirt, to sweatpants, to denim jeans. The main rule of a total denim look is that there are no rules; though in my denim, I try to choose slight difference in shades or degree of density of fabric, that leave a seemingly infinite number of fun possibilities! In addition to a classic Denim Shirt, I am especially loving all of the patchwork styling that has been happening and trending in Denim Shirts this spring, that utilize several parts of the material or mix the denim with ethnic patterns, embroidery or eclectic prints. I think every little one should have a classic Denim Shirt, as well as a fashion Denim Shirt, in their wardrobe. Trust me, the Denim Shirt will be the most versatile item of clothing your child owns!
