This past weekend we took Mario to see the Christmas Tree in Union Square and to see the SPCA animals in the Holiday Windows of Macy's - adoptable cats and dogs have been in Macy's San Francisco Holiday Windows for the past nine years.
Mario is at a fun age this year: he knows Santa, "Present Time", Snowmen and Christmas Trees - overall he is excited about Christmas-Time. He was extra excited to see the Christmas Tree in Union Square this past weekend. It even led him to request a giant star on top of our Christmas Tree - like "that one" he said. Yes, I went on a 3 hour search yesterday looking for a giant star tree topper for our Christmas Tree. I only managed to find an extra-large snowflake ornament that I turned into a tree topper, though it did get Mario's approval. I now realize that I need to start the search NOW for a tree topper as cool as the one on the tree in Union Square for our Christmas Tree next year!
Here are some photos of Mario getting excited for Christmas this past weekend at Union Square and at brunch. I must admit, to brave the crowds in Union Square we had brunch that included a couple glasses of wine for my husband and I at Belden Place (often called the French Quarter of San Francisco).
Enjoy & Merry Christmas Eve!
