Mario Loves HaLLoWeeN: DIY Lego Costume & Cookie Monster Pumpkin
I hope everyone had a fun and safe HaLLoWeeN weekend! Despite my family fighting colds and keeping Mario home from school most of last week, we all got dressed up for trick-or-treating on Friday. Mario left the house with a handful of Lego mini figures, all characters from The Lego Movie, and happily wore his hard hat all night. He was the cutest Emmet, though I couldn’t convince him to wear his DIY Lego Box (at least my husband and I rocked our DIY Lego Batman and Wildstyle costumes).
After trick-or-treating, we carved our Halloween pumpkin. Last year, our jack-o’-lantern scared Mario, so this year we went with a more Mario-friendly design: a Cookie Monster pumpkin. He loves it! Every morning, Mario says good morning to his jack-o’-lantern and feeds Cookie Monster plastic cookies and Lego blocks—yum!
When Mario wasn’t in costume, he stayed cozy all weekend in his favorite Appaman hockey jersey and undies, lounging and relaxing around the house.

The hockey jersey, made of soft, comfy cotton, is one of his favorites—he loves it so much he doesn’t want to take it off at bedtime. Appaman’s designs have that perfect mix of comfort and cool, making them a go-to for Mario’s everyday favorites.
