Besides going to Pier 45 on Saturday this Columbus Day Weekend, we went to the San Francisco Ferry Building at Pier 1 on Sunday to once again watch the San Francisco Fleet Week Air Show.
Mario loves going to the San Francisco Ferry Building to see crabs and ferry boats, and this past weekend was especially special with the Air Show going on. After his excitement over seeing air planes on Saturday, we thought it would be fun for him to see more planes! I could hardly believe it myself, but Mario didn't want to go inside the Ferry Building to see the crabs or boats, instead he spotted the planes in the sky and was more than happy finding a spot on the water front to watch them.
We decided to go to Gott's Roadside for bacon cheeseburgers, french fries and ice cream, and we ate them on an outside picnic table to watch the first part of the Air Show. Afterwards, we headed over to the Playground at Sue Bierman Park, where Mario and dada watched the United States Navy Blue Angels from atop of a jungle gym; if you were to ask both of my boys, they would say that it was the best seat in the city for watching the Air Show. Mario and Dada ended the day by kicking a soccer ball.
Here are photos of Mario enjoying Day 2 of the San Francisco Fleet Week Air Show... now I hope he doesn't expect air planes to entertain him every weekend...
