Farmer in the Dell: The Unisex Overalls Spring Trend for Kids
Designers seem to be inspired by the OshKosh B'Gosh moments of their youth this Spring, with various versions of these childhood classics making their way down the runways. DKNY showcased traditional denim, Rag & Bone kept it clean in black and white, and Alexander Wang even brought them out in leather.
And influencers are now wearing these childhood staples on the streets, making overalls the must-have fashion piece for Spring. The best part? This is a unisex trend that looks just as cute on boys as it does on girls. While I don’t think I’ll be pulling off this trend myself, I know my son will look adorable in a pair of slouchy, heavily washed overalls paired with a striped t-shirt, like the one styled here.
In fact, I’m going online today to grab him the classic OshKosh B'Gosh pair in their signature Hickory Stripe. Who knows? Maybe someday he’ll look back and reminisce about his days in overalls. For now, he loves singing “Farmer in the Dell” and “Old McDonald Had a Farm,” so he’ll proudly wear his overalls, and I’ll smile knowing I have a trendy toddler!
These are the Overalls I am off to get my Son! The genuine article… OshKosh B'Gosh Overalls with lots of pockets for storing his cars and favorite animals, and with authentic hardware and reinforced stitching. I also love the Red color of the Classic Hickory Stripe, these overalls looks absolutely adorable worn with a Stripe T-Shirt.
I also love these American Apparel Overalls in a Medium Stone Wash… Very Vintage Cool. And again these Overalls are worn with a Stripe T-Shirt. These Overalls are UniSex… Though aren't all good Overalls UniSex?
This Ralph Lauren Overalls feature allover patchwork... Another Trend in Denim this Spring! They are Washed Down and Patched to have an Authentic Worn In and Rugged Look.
These Custom & Unique Overalls fro Etsy are Studded & Bleached and are One of a Kind. They are made to order, but I may have to try to make my toddler a pair of these myself, and if you are Crafty you can DIY too! I love how the Studs add a little Edge to this American Classic.
